ASÚKAR, Palestinian Cuban Fusion is a mix of both Chef Nikki’s Palestinian culture & heritage, along with the Cuban culture & heritage of her husband and their children. Chef Nikki is a daughter of immigrants, a sister, mother and wife.

She is unapologetically Palestinian and proud, sharing not only her culture, but the culture of the family she created. Food is her love language and art, Nikki strives to uplift and share her Palestinian culture and identity through her offerings.

Food is political. Food is history. Food is identity and is culturally transmitted. Food is power, and has never been merely about the simple act of pleasurable consumption. Food is a connection to the land, ancestors and to the community.

Food was and continues to be a principal tool of colonization.

All of Chef Nikki’s offerings are intentional and with purpose, pure love goes into everything she does.
